Best Halloween EVER!

| | Comments (0)

Well, it's been one long eventful Halloween weekend. Myra and Noah really had a blast. We started out on Friday night at "Halloween at Bos" a little trick or treat fair put on by all of the Boswell student clubs. Myra was a little scared at first, but she met up with her buddy Ally from Daycare and lost her shyness real quick! She got a great haul as the Prettiest Pink Princess at the ball. Noah had fun as Pooh Bear, but he wasn't too interested in candy this year.

The next day was Lili's birthday party. It was a costume affair and all the cute little kiddos ate hotdogs and hit the pinata. Myra liked the horns better than the candy. Noah was a big hit at the party as the "biggest 4 month old I've ever seen".

Finally, Halloween was here but stormy skies threatened. Luckily, Aunt Doo Doo and Uncle Ricky weren't scared of the rain and we made the rounds around their house. Afterward, Myra helped pass out candy. We got in just in time to watch it rain on all the other trick or treaters. It still makes me giggle to think of all those little ghosts, ninjas, and power rangers scrambling for cover.

Here's a couple of pics of the kids costumes. For the rest, check out the photos section.

Why are We Doing This?

The main purpose of this blog is to make a place where Chris and I can share our parenting experiences with our family and friends. We also want to have a little journal of what it was like when Myra and Noah were just little whipper-snappers. I'll start with a little history on the two loves of my life, my kids.

My wife and I are busy raising two of the sweetest kids you've ever met. When Myra came along I thought I was prepared for it. Boy was I wrong. Thank God for Christina who helped me maintain my sanity while we watched our tiny baby turn into a smart, beautiful and sometimes mischevious little girl. I'll never forget the finger-nail polish incident or the nap where she decided to play in her own poo.

A couple of years later, along came Noah. He was a tad cranky early on, but he looked just like me so we just HAD to keep him. He has the prettiest big blue eyes and they are wide open all the time. Granny says I did the same thing. Myra is the perfect big sister. She even named her baby doll Noah which was a little disconcerting since the doll is completely decked out in pink!

Raising these two kids has been an adventure that I wouldn't trade for anything. It's had it's ups and downs, but overall has been a very positive experience. Being a father has made me become a better person and redefined who I am and why I'm here. There is nothing like the feeling of looking into the eyes of your kids and hearing them say "I love you".
