Will It Ever End?

Wednesday night ... 10:45pm to be a little more exact. Noah comes into our room saying that his tummy hurts and he needs to go potty. Strange but ... okay. After a trip to the potty, he starts telling me that he needs to "spit up" (I think that's pretty self explanatory) and wants a bowl.

I'm not exactly sure but somehow Noah ended up on the couch (bowl in hand) with Daddy in the recliner and I ended up back in bed. Next thing I know, Noah's back in my room making this horrible burping noise followed by ... well, Daddy had a floor to clean while Mommy cleaned up the boy.

After our long night, I called the doctor and set an appointment. I told the nurse over the phone that we had just had Noah in about three weeks ago for an ear infection along with the upper respiratory infection. I told her that he was given an antibiotic shot but nothing seemed to have changed other than him not complaining about his ear. He still had a nasty cough which was now accompanied by a nasty green nose.

Cut to the doctor's visit (which took a good hour and a half out of our evening - and that's not counting the drive) ...

The good news is, his ear is all clear ... not even any fluid! The bad news? It's ALL sinuses! Noah's received a prescription for . After researching it a bit .... YIKES! This does NOT sound like something a three-year-old should be taking. I trust the doctor, though, and I'm certain that it's not the same dosage a grown up would take but ... YIKES!

We'll keep our fingers crossed that (1) this stuff will work and (2) it won't be knock down drag out that we usually go through giving medicine to the boy. I'd hate see how having a do an allergy test would go over with the little man.

I need to look into how this claiming medical expenses works on taxes. I'm sure it's all the wrong type of "medical" but I'm pretty sure we've either reached the minimum or are getting close to reaching it. ;)

poor little guy!

How's the medicine working out this time? Not sure about the medical/taxes thing, but the last time we checked on it, we didn't even come close, not even the year I had Kennedy.
